This was really was more than just a food tour. I really got a good overview of the city as well. Toucan's Medellin Street Food Tour visits areas of Medellin that until recently used to be inaccessible to tourism. You'll get an authentic taste of Medellin whilst learning first hand the story Medellin's transformation through award winning urban regeneration projects. We'll be taking Medellin's famous Metro system, then the new tram and finally we'll ride Medellin's newest cable car line. You'll see some stunning views of the city and larger than life street art along the way.

You'll get to try buñelos, arepas de chocolo and the famous Colombian empanadas and more. You'll visit a historic Medellin market to explore Colombia's exotic tropical fruits and try some fresh fruit juices. Whilst there you'll discover the magical powers of the Colombian herbalist, whose dried plants can cure all your ailments and drive off evil spirits.

More than a tour about food, this is a journey through Medellin's soul. There is some gentle walking and taking various forms of transportation, however in 4 hours you'll get to experience more of Medellin than most tourists.
